Ms. Todd grew up in central Illinois, in a small town. Her dad served as a firefighter and her mom as a nurse practitioner at the VA. She learned from them to be caring, compassionate, and connected to the community. Today, she brings these values to her practice as a Social Security disability attorney, offering dedicated legal guidance for clients throughout the state of Oklahoma. Ms. Todd remained in central Illinois to complete her undergraduate studies, majoring in communications/media studies at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. During her junior year of college, Ms. Todd studied abroad in Granada, Spain for a semester and obtained her minor in Spanish. She moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma in August of 2006 to attend the University of Tulsa, College of Law and fell in love with the area. During law school, Ms. Todd spent a summer studying abroad in Dublin, Ireland and interned for the European Commission on Aviation Regulation. Ms. Todd graduated a semester early from law school and passed the bar examination on her first try in February of 2009 (only 56% of applicants passed the bar exam that sitting, the lowest in the history of Oklahoma). Shortly after the bar exam, she started working at the Social Security Administration (SSA), where she worked as an attorney advisor for almost eight years until she went private and built her own firm. Now, Ms. Todd focuses the entirety of her practice on helping injured and disabled workers navigate the SSD system. Having worked closely with judges and the Appeals Council on hundreds of complex district court cases, she is well-versed in the law and the various processes applicants must go through in order to receive benefits. She understands why claims are denied, as well as the most common appeals issues. And, perhaps most importantly, she knows how they can be won. Ms. Todd has been recognized for her work, both by the clients she has helped and by nationally renowned organizations. In addition to completing the Federal Government SSA Attorney Intensive Decision Training Course in Seattle, Washington, Ms. Todd has been honored with two SSA Federal Government Commendable Acts of Service Performance Awards and the SSA Federal Government Recognition of Contribution Performance Award. Ms. Todd founded her private practice with one goal: to help people like you with legitimate SSD claims secure their rightful benefits. With an extensive, in-depth knowledge of how the system works, Ms. Todd is prepared to advocate for you every step of the way.
