Attorney Angelik “Angie” Edmonds is the managing Partner of Edmonds Law Office of Civil Rights.  She represents individuals in civil rights actions and landlord tenant matters. She handles cases on behalf of employees who have experienced employment discrimination including hostile work environment, wrongful termination, and retaliation cases. Employees are protected from discrimination pursuant to Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.  We also represent students who have faced discriminatory treatment based on race and disability in schools.

She also represents individuals who are incarcerated that have experienced cruel and unusual punishment.  The Eleventh Circuit has found that the Georgia Department of Corrections, jails, and prisons violate an incarcerated individual’s Eighth Amendment right to be free from cruel and unusual punishment when prison officials deny individuals the right to medical treatment.  These cases are often called “conditions of confinement” cases.   She represents individuals in Fourth Amendment claims; a Fourth Amendment claim may exist when an officer uses excessive force while arresting an individual; when an officer detains an individual without probable cause; and in similar scenarios.  She also represents individuals who may have malicious prosecution or false imprisonment claims.
