Aric M. Kline serves as general counsel for the Kline Law Firm, LLC. He attends IEP team meetings and Section 504 team meetings on behalf of families, provides counsel regarding disputes concerning the adequacy and/or implementation of IEPs and Section 504 plans, initiates due process hearing complaints before the Office of State Administrative Hearings (OSAH), initiates Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) complaints, and initiates complaints with the Office of Civil Rights (OCR). As an experienced litigator, Mr. Kline understands that early mediation may be the key to success for your family in short of litigation. Nonetheless, Mr. Kline has hundreds of hours of courtroom experience in litigating IDEA cases and has several years of experience in the federal court appellate process regarding IDEA appeals. Most importantly, in the event of litigation, Mr. Kline has experience in successfully resolving disputes after the filing of litigation through mediation, formal negotiations, and informal negotiations.
Mr. Kline has served as a guest speaker at several conferences regarding compliance with IDEA as well as Section 504. Further, he has trained multiple educators and boards of education regarding the broad scope of IDEA and Section 504 in order to reinforce the responsibility of school districts to provide special needs students with individually tailored IEPs and Section 504 plans to ensure student success.
