 Craig was born in Birmingham, Alabama on November 8, 1969, and received his primary education in the public schools of Jefferson County, Alabama.

 

Craig attended Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina on a football scholarship, and he received his undergraduate degree from that institution in 1992. While at Furman, Craig was a member of Furman’s 1988 Division 1-AA National Championship Football Team, and during his four-year career the Paladins captured the Southern Conference title in 1988, 1989, and 1990. Craig was also named to the All-Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll in 1988, 1989, 1990 and 1991.

 

Upon his Furman graduation, Craig attended the University of Alabama School of Law where he obtained his J.D., and was graduated cum laude in 1995. While in law school, Craig was Senior Editor of the Alabama Law Review, and was a member of the Bench and Bar Legal Honor Society, the Farrah Law Society, the Student Bar Association, and the Christian Legal Society.

 

Craig has practiced law along the Gulf Coast since his 1995 graduation from law school. He is an active member of the American, Florida, Alabama, Baldwin County, and Mobile County Bar Associations, and has represented both defendants and plaintiffs in all types of civil litigation, including construction defect, contract, products liability, personal injury, commercial tort, and property actions. Accordingly, he has extensive jury trial experience in both Alabama and Florida.

 

Craig has also undergone specialized training with regards to condominium law, and he is a frequent speaker at condominium owner symposiums at which he trains board members on the nuances of Alabama and Florida condominium law.

 

In his twenty-five plus year legal career practicing in both Alabama and Florida, Craig has spent considerable time representing condominium associations in their everyday affairs (e.g., providing general legal advice, contract drafting/review, pursuing assessment collections, etc.) and, when necessary, aggressively prosecuting their construction defect and/or other legal claims via jury trials or arbitrations.

 

With regards to his condominium construction defect litigation experience, Craig is well-known for having handled some of the larger condominium construction defect cases in Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, Fort Walton, Destin, and Panama City Beach.

 

In his spare time, Craig enjoys spending time with his family, exercising, attending collegiate and professional sporting events, coaching youth sports, and getting involved in community affairs. He is a past and/or present member of the Leadership Mobile Class of 1998, the Senior Bowl Committee, the Daphne/Spanish Fort Rotary Club (past President), and the Daphne/Spanish Fort Kiwanis Club.

 

Craig is married to Julie Morris, and has three children - Mary Katherine, Lora Ashley, and Cade. The Morris family lives in Baldwin County, Alabama and attends 3 Circle Church in Fairhope, Alabama.
