Gary M. Prince has practiced law with the firm since 1982. He devotes his practice to representing seriously injured people, the defense of sheriffs, police officers, and governmental entities in civil rights litigation, and also to general civil litigation.
Mr. Prince has defended hundreds of police officers and upwards of 40 Sheriffs in his 37-year practice. He has also successfully represented educators in both Knox and Blount Counties.
Gary was selected by The Legal Network as a “Top Lawyer” in Tennessee in 2013. The American Society of Legal Advocates have included Mr. Prince as one of the Top 100 Litigation Lawyers in the State of Tennessee for 2018, 2019 and 2020.
He is admitted to practice in the State Courts of Tennessee as well as the Federal Courts of Tennessee, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court.
In his spare time Gary M. Prince has coached high school football and track. He is certified as a TSSAA coach. Gary is also a Sunday School teacher for a local children’s ministry. Mr. Prince has volunteered his time with the Dogwood Arts Festival and other local charities most recently Hero’s and Hounds through the Humane Society of the Tennessee Valley assisting Veterans.
