J. Todd Heise concentrates his practice on assisting distressed property owners, throughout the State of Maryland and the District of Columbia, in undertaking short sales of residential and commercial real property. Todd also facilitates transfers of property from distressed property owners to lenders via the deed in lieu of foreclosure process.
Todd’s practice also includes representing businesses and developers in a variety of corporate and commercial real estate related matters. His business practice includes entity formation and governance; drafting and negotiation of transfer documents; preparation of non-compete and confidentiality agreements; and, general business planning. His real estate practice includes: representation of clients in real estate financing; acquisition and development; preparation of historic preservation tax credit applications; resolution of complex title defects; and, conducting real property assessment appeals.
