John "Craig" Cotton was born in Athens, Georgia, but raised in Cordele, Georgia. Craig graduated from Fullington Academy in Pinehurst in 1987. He attended Valdosta State University before enlisting in the U.S. Army in 1989. Craig spent six (6) years in the U.S. Army, earning the rank of Staff Sergeant (E-6). He graduated from Columbus State University in 1997 and moved back to Cordele to work in his father?s law practice. Craig is married to Nancy Noble Cotton and has two sons, Chris and Calvin.
