Michael Cherba is a member of the Riezman Berger Litigation Department, with a focus on complex commercial litigation. He also has substantial experience in consumer protection, probate, and administrative/professional licensing law. Michael strives to provide personal, reliable, and effective legal representation to achieve the best results for clients spanning the range from large corporations to family-owned businesses and individuals.
Michael’s considerable experience includes numerous state, federal, and administrative bench and jury trials, and he has briefed and argued before Missouri appellate courts, where three of his cases were reported: Ice v. Harris, 309 S.W.3d 412 (Mo. App. S.D. 2010); Phillips v. Schafer, 343 S.W.3d 753 (Mo. App. E.D. 2011); and Keeney v. Fitch, 458 S.W.3d 838 (Mo. App. E.D. 2015). Prior to joining Riezman Berger, Michael was an Assistant Missouri Attorney General and worked at a mid-sized law firm in St. Louis. He also worked at the White House and the U.S. Office of Personnel Management before embarking on his career as an attorney.
A graduate of Washington University School of Law and Michigan State University, Michael is licensed in the states of Missouri and Illinois. He is admitted to practice in the US Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, US District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Missouri and the Southern District of Illinois. An avid volunteer, Michael serves as President of the Board of Directors of the Young Friends of Legal Services of Eastern Missouri and Willows Way, Inc., and he is the Board Secretary and Treasurer for the Missouri Lawyers Trust Account Foundation.
