Sundeep Hora is an experienced trial attorney and a tenacious advocate for his clients. He possesses exceptional strategic judgment that he applies to every aspect of his practice. Sundeep represents individuals and corporate entities in federal and state courts and before administrative agencies including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the D.C. Office of Human Rights.  He has substantial experience handling complex civil litigation cases including contract disputes, torts (i.e., defamation, fraud, economic interference), employment discrimination, retaliation and wage and hour matters.

 

Sundeep provides services as outside general counsel to restaurants, businesses and trade associations. He counsels his corporate clients on litigation avoidance strategies, compliance with statutory requirements, contractual obligations, employment agreements and employee separations.

 

In his work on behalf of his individual clients, Sundeep fights to hold powerful people and institutions accountable for their actions, standing up to those who believe that they can get away with their wrongdoing and that their victims should accept unjust treatment. He is a patient and tireless advocate for his clients, puts their interests first and ensures their voice is heard at every stage of the process. 

 

Prior to Alderman, Devorsetz & Hora, Sundeep was a litigation associate with Arnold & Porter, LLP where he worked on pharmaceutical product liability cases and various pro bono matters.  His pro bono work included representing clients in Pigford v. USDA, a landmark civil rights suit arising out of the government’s discriminatory denial of USDA loan programs to African American farmers.  Sundeep also clerked for United States District Court Judge Marvin J. Garbis.

 

Sundeep is active in his community and local bar association. He serves as a member of the D.C. Board on Professional Responsibility, a nine-member board appointed by the District of Columbia Court of Appeals that adjudicates cases of attorney misconduct and is responsible for administering D.C.’s disciplinary system for attorneys. For four years, he served as a Complaint Examiner for the District of Columbia’s Office of Police Complaints, where he adjudicated citizen complaints of police officer misconduct.

 

Sundeep graduated magna cum laude from American University’s Washington College of Law. He is admitted to practice in Maryland and the District of Columbia.
