William R. McBride is an aggressive and experienced lawyer, who has represented thousands of personal injury claims and wrongful death lawsuits. Instilled with strong ethics by his parents, McBride was raised to believe in the ideal of justice for all.
McBride has dedicated his career to protecting the rights of individuals and families who have suffered harm due to someone else’s mistakes.
At the age of ten, young Will McBride decided to become a lawyer after his family was defrauded in a “rent-to-own” scheme. The scheme caused his family to lose their home and financial resources. He will never forget the first night he spent sleeping in his family’s car. This traumatic experience continues to motivate and drive him to fight aggressively for his clients today.
Before beginning his legal career, McBride served the community as a public school teacher, high school sports coach, motivational speaker, youth minister and camp director. McBride’s father came to the United States as a migrant worker. His father was the first member of his family to graduate from college. After graduation, his father founded a Spanish speaking church to serve the community. It was his mother and father’s example that motivated him to become involved in community service.
McBride earned his bachelor of arts in Spanish with a concentration in education from the Florida State University and his juris doctor degree from Pepperdine University College of Law in Malibu, California.
No stranger to the courthouse, McBride is a knowledgeable and experienced trial attorney who has selected juries, litigated at trial and obtained personal injury verdicts in numerous cases.
He is admitted to practice in all Florida courts and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. Attorney McBride is also licensed to practice law in Colorado, New Mexico, Massachusetts, Washington, Wyoming, Arizona, Minnesota, and Texas, with law offices in Orlando, Oregon and Tampa, Florida; Albuquerque, New Mexico; Denver, Colorado; and Seattle, Washington.
Attorney McBride was a candidate for the U.S. Senate in 2006, where he received 30 percent of the statewide primary vote. During his bid for the U.S. Senate, he was endorsed by the Orlando Sentinel and Bradenton Herald.
Despite a busy schedule, he remains actively involved in the Hispanic community and is known affectionately as “Abogado William.”
